At Regal Billiards we only sell pool tables with world class construction, 1" slate, solid woods, full profile gum rubber cushions, interlocking center beams, solid metal bracketing and more. Read below to see the detail and quality measures that go into the tables we stock.

1" Framed Slate

Slate has long been the preferred playing surface for pool tables. We go one step beyond most and demand slate that is quarry-mined, diamond-honed to within ten thousandth's of one inch over the entire playfield. We also only use framed slate in our tables. The wood framing is glued directly to the slate, and allows the felt to be stapled to the underside of the wood which is preferable to gluing.

Better Frame Construction

At the heart of the frames of our tables are metal-to-metal, bolt together construction techniques. The one-piece bracket rigidly secures the cabinet and leg assembly with 28 bolts. All bolts go directly into threaded metal inserts. The cabinet is joined together with solid heavy duty metal brackets. The laminated hardwood support beams bolt directly to the cabinet at multiple points, and are double interlocked for additional strength and to prevent any sagging or bowing through the length of the table. Also this, bolt together, construction allows for disassembly of the cabinet and reassembly with no loss of structural integrity should you ever need to move or store the table.

Cushion Rubbers

BCA approved K-66 profile cushion rubbers are used on all of our tables. This superior quality cushion rubber results in one of the liveliest and most accurate rails in the industry. As important as the K-66 profile is the gum rubber content and the avoidance of fillers that will harden up in a short amount of time, requiring an expensive fix just a few years after you buy the table. We are so confident that we have the best cushions in the industry that we include them in our lifetime warranty, unlike most other retailers.

Cloth (Felt)

Our tables come standard with 21 oz. commercial grade billiard cloth (in over 25 colors). Even with continuous heavy play the cloth will last for years. There is also a popular, stain-proof, Teflon, cloth available in every color as well as upgrades to professional cloths such as Velocity Pro and Simonis.

Installation

All the features above that go into making a great billiard table are of little value if the table is not installed correctly. At Regal Billiards we do not outsource, our installers all work for us. The technicians who come to your house will have at least 20 years of experience between them and will deliver, construct and level your table perfectly, ensuring that all the world class construction features described above actually matter.
